Justice Dept Says Recess Appointments Are Legal

Again I am not surprised.

“Although the Senate will have held pro forma sessions regularly from January 3 to January 23, in our judgment, those sessions do not interrupt the intrasession recess in a manner that would preclude the president from determining that the Senate remains unavailable throughout to ‘receive communications from the president or participate as a body in making appointments,’” Virginia Seitz, assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel, wrote in the memo dated Jan. 6.
White House or Justice Dept.
They are one and the same... Lawless.

House Republicans File Resolution On Recess Picks

Nonbinding resolution that means nothing.

Rep. Diane Black (Tenn.) and 71 other House Republicans introduced a nonbinding resolution today voicing concern over President Barack Obama’s recess appointment of four administration nominees last week.
“It’s astounding to me that the president is claiming these are recess appointments and within his authority, when Congress was not in fact in recess,” Black said. “These appointments are an affront to the Constitution. No matter how you look at this, it doesn’t pass the smell test. I hope the House considers my resolution as soon as we return to Washington so we can send a message to President Obama.”
Its astounding to me that no one will man or woman up and introduce impeachment charges.

Power Grab (Updated)

Nothing is too much for this king.

President Obama on Wednesday used his recess appointment powers to name a head for the controversial Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in a move Republican senators said amounted to a constitutional power grab.
Mr. Obama made the appointment of Richard Cordray even though the Senate, which has the power to confirm nominees, considers itself still in session.
Will some brave house member start impeachment proceedings soon?
Its not only me seeing it this way!
Impeach the bastard, he is not going to stop!
