Issa Drafts Contempt Order For Eric Holder

Its about damn time...

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) circulated a draft contempt order against Eric Holder on Thursday for a “refusal to cooperate” in the investigation of the Fast and Furious gun-walking operation.
“This briefing paper and draft contempt report explains the case, to both Members of the Committee and the American people, for holding Attorney General Holder in contempt of Congress,” the House Oversight Committee chairman said in a statement. “In describing the results of the Justice Department’s refusal to cooperate — including the hardships the family of a fallen Border Patrol agent have faced in seeking the truth, and retaliation against agents who blew the whistle on gun-walking — this briefing paper provides the facts, on which decisions will be made.”
Time to go for the jugular.

You all know who you are (look at my blogroll) I visit most of you daily or weekly (work and family take time too!) I am more informed now on the issues of the day than at any time in my life, largely due to the conservative blogosphere.

Jewish Voters Leaving Obama

Obama is still getting too damn much support for being so anti Israel.

The latest survey of Jewish Americans, conducted March 14-27 by a firm called Knowledge Networks for the American Jewish Committee, shows Barack Obama leading Mitt Romney by a 61%-28% margin. That’s significantly behind Obama’s 78%-21% margin over John McCain among Jewish voters in the 2008 exit poll. …
Obama gets 72% of the votes of those most concerned with the health care issue, according to the current AJC survey, and 62% among those most concerned about the economy. But Romney leads Obama among those Jews whose major concern was national security issues (44%-42%) and U.S.-Israel relations (44%-42%). Clearly Obama is losing some Jewish voters on foreign policy issues.
I am hopeful...Skeptical but hopeful.

Will The Election Be Decided On October 26?

At 8:30 AM?

Gloomy forecasts from Goldman Sachs...
From James Pethokoukis's article:
Goldman Sachs is turning increasingly bearish on the U.S. economy, expecting the nation to have added only 125,000 new jobs in April, as the effects of a warm winter, which buoyed employment late last year, wear off.
The forecast is far lower than the Reuters estimate of 170,000, and the average 177,250 jobs created every month from December to March. According to a report by the bank’s Chief U.S. Economist Jan Hatzius, the jobs report will be a further sign of a weakening economy, where inventory accumulation has accelerated and final demand growth remains sluggish.
“Real income growth remains soft, partly because of higher energy prices, wealth effects are not yet particularly positive, consumer confidence remains modest, and again some of the recent strength in retail sales probably reflects weather effects,” Hatzius said.
And one strategist believes we will still be "back in the ditch"!
She said she agrees with Goldman economist Jan Hatzius’s forecast of the second half being more “difficult” than the first. “We have seen some deceleration in economic activity” after a mild winter that might have “puffed up” seasonal growth in the first quarter, she said.
I don't think we ever left the ditch. Obama and his cronies have just buried the car that much deeper. It will need a wrecker with a big winch to get this car back on the right road.

First There Were Phony Soldiers Now Its Phony Native Americans?

Good grief what is with liberals?
I didn't see any Native American look to Elizabeth Warren either.

Elizabeth Warren said she had no idea until she read the Herald today her Native American heritage was touted by Harvard Law School as proof of their faculty’s diversity in the 1990s — a fact her rival wants her to apologize for.
“I think I read it on the front page of the Herald,” Warren said when asked about the issue.
Sure you did Lizzy.
“I don’t even remember,” she added when asked about a 1996 Harvard Crimson article that quoted a then-law school spokesman touting her minority status. “You’re trying to raise something from 15 years ago.”
If I had a dollar for every lie, or lie by omission from a liberal I could have retired years ago.

Obama's "Unprecedented" Recovery

Unprecedented indeed!

The U.S. economy grew at a rate of 2.4 percent since the second half of 2009, which hardly represents a comeback, Stanford University economics professor Ed Lazear said Wednesday.
“The problem is, this is not a recovery at all,” he said on CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report.” “We haven’t made up for the lost ground, and that’s unprecedented.”
So what is a sitting President with less than 50% approval for 32 months to do?
Send in Turbo Tax Tim to attack Mitt Romney's economist Glen Hubbard as a hack of course.
Responding to a Hubbard op-ed in the Wall Street Journal — which calculated that the president’s spending plans would require an 11% tax increase on people earning less than $200,000 a year — Mr. Geithner said, “That’s a completely made-up, remarkably hackish observation for an economist.”
Hubbard a hack?
Besides running a highly respected Ivy League business school, he was the chairman of President George W. Bush’s council of economic advisors. He also earned his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard.
Those definitely sounds like a hackish credentials to me. The bottom line?
This recovery is "unprecedented"...
Weekly jobless claims in April are running 20,000 ahead of March. That might mean next week’s employment report will be another disappointment. And over the eleven quarters of the Obama recovery, real GDP has averaged only 2.4%. Compare that to the postwar average of 4.5%, and the tax-cutting Reagan recovery of 6.1%.
Obama, Geithner, Holder and as many liberals as possible need to be run from office in Nov. Our future depends on it.

Holder To Face Contempt Citation

Eric Holder will just make another claim of racism...

House Republicans investigating the Fast and Furious scandal have gotten the go-ahead by their party leaders to pursue a contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder, senior congressional aides told CBS News. The resolution will accuse Holder and his Justice Department of obstructing the congressional probe into the allegations that the government let thousands of weapons fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
The citation would attempt to force Holder to turn over tens of thousands of pages documents related to the probe, which has entered its second year.
The man should have been fitted for a orange jumpsuit by now. You can bet Barry has his back.

The First Lady Of Mooching

The definition of mooch is to ask or obtain something without paying for it.
Mooch knows how its done...

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and fights government corruption, announced today that it obtained documents from the United States Air Force and the United States Secret Service detailing costs associated with Michelle Obama’s controversial August 2010 vacation to Spain. According to a Judicial Watch analysis, the records indicate a total combined cost of at least $467,585.
She got a vacation and she didn't pay for it. Fits the definition perfectly.
According to U.S. Department of Defense’s 2010 published hourly rates, the total cost of flying Michelle Obama and her guests from Camp Andrews to Malaga and then to Mallorca and back to the United States was $199,323.75. This is based on approximately 17 hours and 15 minutes of total flying time. The 15-member flight crew stayed at Tryp Guadalmar, a nearby motel. Lodging cost was $10,290.60 and car rental cost was $2,633.50. Food cost was $876.30, including $57.68 for four bottles of maple syrup and a package of pancake mix.
Smells Stinks as bad as just getting those student loans paid off a few years ago.

Eric Holder Sues Florida City

Attorney General Holder should just sue America and get his race war started.

The Justice Department sued the city of Jacksonville, Florida, on Monday, claiming its use of written tests to determine promotions in the city’s fire department discriminates against African-Americans.
Everything is race to this man.
The complaint by the Justice Department alleges the exams are “not job related for the positions in question.”
The complaint said use of the tests “has resulted in a disparate impact upon black candidates” because African-Americans pass the examinations at significantly lower rates than white candidates.
African-Americans can't pass written exams? Sounds like Holder is putting keeping his race down, not helping them.

68% Approve Of Az Imigration Law

68% is no small number.

The Supreme Court readies to hear the Obama administration’s case against Arizona’s strict immigration law, a new poll shows that Americans overwhelmingly support the law and believe the Supreme Court should uphold it.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Friday asked 2,577 registered voters nationwide whether they support Arizona’s immigration law, S.B. 1070, passed in 2010. Sixty-eight percent of respondents said they approved of the law while 27 percent said they disapproved of it. The poll question spelled out the provision of the law that “requires police to verify the legal status of someone they have already stopped or arrested if they suspect that the person is in the country illegally.”
Screw you Schumer.

Democrats Jumping Ship?

Who can blame them.

Toon via Sodahead
Politics: Perhaps Democrats know something the rest of us don't about Barack Obama's political fortunes. What else explains the increasing numbers who are openly defying the president on two key election issues?
Obamacare sound familiar?
Former Alabama Rep. Artur Davis went furthest. "I think the Affordable Care Act is the single least popular piece of major domestic legislation in the last 70 years," he said. "It was not popular when it passed; it's less popular now."
70 years? That left a mark.
Keystone is key to most of us, Obama not so much.
Obama may have thought he'd cleverly handled the issue by putting it off until next year, and that no one would think to defy his veto threats.
But when Republicans called his bluff with a bill to force a start on construction, 69 Democrats rushed to join them, giving the House bill a veto-proof majority. The Senate bill is just a vote or two away from overcoming a Democratic filibuster.
Veto-proof in the House? A few votes short in The Senate? Obama is about to get sent to the corner.
My gut says there is not a chance in hell Obama can be re-elected in November without massive voter fraud or some sort of shenanigan to stay in power. Martial law/race war/riots or something along those lines. All of which cannot be ruled out, especially with the Justice Dept. run with the creep in charge now.
