Recovery Summer Hits Bismarck

I guess our Post office and Federal building needed new "algore light bulbs" and a sign to tell everyone.....

The GSA info is from July 2009, the picture of the sign was taken August 22, 2010. I am quite sure that $44,684 has been spent long ago. Maybe Obama just doesn't want us to forget who put all those folks to work.

GSA was appropriated $5.5 billion under the Recovery Act to convert federal buildings into high-performance green buildings and build new energy-efficient federal buildings, courthouses, and land ports of entry.

“Given the intent of the Recovery Act to stimulate the economy and put people back to work, we set a very aggressive goal to obligate our first $1 billion by the end of July,” said GSA Acting Administrator Paul Prouty. “With that goal met, our focus now is to continue to get shovels in the ground as quickly as possible.”

WASHINGTON – The deepwater drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico costs at least 23,000 jobs, according to a federal document that weighed the economic impact and alternatives to the drilling ban.

Obamunism is working well for the gulf states. Wait until that lame duck congress rams cap and trade through...

Twenty-two states are now in the process of drafting or seeking to pass legislation similar to Arizona's law against illegal immigration. This is occurring despite the fact that the Obama administration has filed a lawsuit against the Arizona law and a federal judge has ruled against portions of that law - a ruling that is now being appealed.
