The Detroit Free Press reports:
A new independent poll has the dean of the U.S. House, Rep. John Dingell, trailing his Republican opponent, Rob Steele, by 4 percentage points. The folks are pissed if this happens!
The automated phone survey of 300 people in the 15th Congressional District showed Steele getting 43.8% of the vote. Dingell, a Dearborn Democrat and the longest-serving member of Congress, got 39.5%. About 11% were undecided. The gap is within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 5.6 percentage points. The poll was conducted Monday. If Dingell loses Obama might extend his after the massacre trip abroad for a while longer..........

Holder's Justice Dept. Gets Foreign Countries To File Briefs, 9th Circus Says Ok!
When did foreign countries start dictating U.S immigration policy? Uh, Jan. 2008, right after the first anti-American President was sworn in......Unreal.
(Politico)- In a new twist in the fight over Arizona’s immigration law, Republican Gov. Jan Brewer on Tuesday asked a federal court to disallow foreign governments from joining the U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit to overturn the law.
The move comes in response to a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling issued Monday, allowing nearly a dozen Latin American countries — Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Chile — to submit friend-of-the-court briefs in Justice’s challenge to SB 1070, which Brewer signed into law in April and is considered one of the nation’s toughest immigration-enforcement measures.
“As do many citizens, I find it incredibly offensive that these foreign governments are using our court system to meddle in a domestic legal dispute and to oppose the rule of law,” the Republican governor said in a statement shortly after the state’s motion was filed Tuesday evening. Most Americans stand with Governor Brewer.

Republicans have a significant lead over Democrats among likely voters in Gallup's generic ballot poll released Monday.
The figures show a much greater lead for Republicans among likely voters than registered voters, and suggest the party is poised to make large gains in the midterm elections.
Gallup's first generic ballot estimate of likely voters showed Republicans leading Democrats 53-40 percent in a high turnout scenario and 56-38 percent in a low turnout scenario.

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — If John McCain hadn’t made it clear before, he’s leaving no doubt that the presidency is a dream gone by.
He told the audience of 200 that “this may surprise you, but I will not be running for president again.” He promised, though, that he will do everything in his power to make sure New Hampshire maintains its first-in-the-nation presidential primary status.
